시를 지어 그림으로 그리고 기록으로 남긴다.
꿈결 같은 인생, 인생은 아름답다.
Compose poems, do some paintings and put those on record.
Being like a dream way, life is beautiful.
Being like a dream way : She, the beauteous flower
꿈결 같은 인생 : 그녀, 아름다운 꽃
……..”Hong’s drawing is a song.”
Flowers, birds, poems, water drops and even nameless dots appear to dance on her drawing. Emphasized in Oriental paintings, it is because her lively spirits pass into paintbrushes
and eventually on her paintings. So to speak, the high-spirited liveliness is to be read as rhythms which need not to distinguish between listening to music and seeing the drawings.
Trying to communicate through the touch of brushes, Hong’s paintings are a happy,
hearty minuet rather than a lonely, sad adagio.
However it is not meant to be shallow sentimental tricks to stir her viewers.
From the fact that she can tell a story of others not herself and sing a spirit
of 21st century Literary Art, we could see at her warm smile
that a person can get by going through harsh hours……

…….. “ 홍지윤의 그림은 노래다 .” 꽃도 , 새도 , 시도 , 물방울도 , 이름모를 점들도 홍지윤의 화폭 위에선 춤을 추는 듯 보인다 . 옛화론에서도 익 히 말하듯 붓끝에서 그의 기운이 생동하기 때문이고 , 그 생동하는 기운이 마치 리듬으로 읽혀 그림을 보는 것인지 음악을 듣는 것이지 가늠이 필요없는 심상의 노래가 된다 . 붓으로 노래하는 그의 작업은 외롭거나 슬픈 아다지오 adagio 라기보다
행복하고 따뜻한 미뉴에트 minuet 같다 . 그렇다고해서 그저 말랑말랑한 감정의 얄팍함으로만 보아서는 안된다 . 자신보다 타자를 , 21 세기에 문인정신을 담담한 곡조로 노래할 수 있다는 것은 삶의 질곡을 어느 정도 맛본 후에야 비로소 가능한 미소 같은 구석이 보이기 때문이다 . …

Resounding skies, you were blue
Roaring rivers, you were just flowing
Trilling petals, you’re so rosy
Warbling the last leaf, you were there

노래하는 강 물결
노래하는 분홍 꽃잎
노래하는 마지막 잎새
흥에 겨운 한 때
꿈결같은 인생
인생은 아름다워
She, the beauteous flower
On the softened soil, the little being was taking a nap
A blow of wind, heading for a sea, was surprised at
Her bewitching figure and took to dance with her.
Began to love her. Began to exhaust her.
In the late evening of spring days, at a blossomed garden
Upon white, heavy and enchanted of her being shaken by
Many her bodies had fallen onto the front, onto the shoulder
All-day burden of tiredness suddenly disappeared.
Just being more bright after those spring time
Being ticklish on my face with her shadowing,
Onto a bitter-wretched heart, took bathe in the sun
Thanks to her and its early afternoon sunshine
Amidst of summer, heavy sunshine dazzled upon my eyelashes
I saw her small, ripen and feeble many bodies.
She the tiniest said to me
“I’ve lived till now, I’m living now,
I’ll also live tomorrow.”
Being full of scent onto their every bursting bud, onto their every single sprout,
Seemed to be less harsh for the rest of her life.
On of a river flowing
In spring, she became a light-green leaf with rarely recognized
In Summer, being a tempting lump of flowers
At Autumn, a red-tinged leaf, turning the whole world into red
Along the river over and over again,
In winter, she’s not abandoned dreaming ceaselessly even under firmly frozen abyss.
She’s almost an origin of flower, dampened itself eternally.
그녀, 아름다운 꽃
고운 흙 위에서 작은 그녀가 잠깐 낮잠을 자고 있었다.
지나가던 바람 한 자락이 바다를 구경하러 가려다
그 고운 자태에 눈이 멀어 그만 그녀를 깨워 춤을 추기 시작했다.
그녀를 사랑하기 시작했다. 그녀를 소모하기 시작했다.
늦은 봄날저녁, 정원에 무더기로 피어난
무겁고 희고 탐스러운 그녀를 흔들자,
머리위로 어깨위로 그녀의 몸이 후두둑 떨어진다.
어찌된 일인지 종일 온 몸을 누르던 피곤이 거짓말처럼 사라졌다.
봄날이 지나 이제 막 화려 해 지기 시작한
그녀가 햇살 곁에 그늘을 드리워 얼굴을 간지럽힌다.
그렇게 비릿하던 마음도 늦봄 이른 오후의 햇살덕택에
그녀덕택에 개운한 日光浴을 한다.
한여름, 속눈썹위로 쏟아지는 햇빛에 눈이 부신 채
작고 야물고 가실한 수많은 그녀들을 바라본다.
작고 작은 그녀들이 나에게 말을 건넨다.
나는 예전에도 살아왔고 지금도 살고 있고
또 이다음에도 살아 갈 거라고
다행히도 봉오리마다 꽃망울마다 짙은 향내가 들어있어서
앞으로 한참을 더 살아내야 할 그녀의 작은 몸이 조금 덜 힘겨워 보였다.
그녀는 그저 부드럽게 흐르던 물길위에서
봄이면 쉽게 눈에 띄지 않는 작고 작은 연두 빛 잎사귀 하나였다가
여름이 되어 그 크기가 커진 탐스런 한 송이 꽃 덩이가 되었다가
가을이 찾아오면 세상을 물들일 만큼 깊고 화려한 단풍나무 한 잎이 되어
다시 물길과 함께 흐르고 또 흘러
한겨울이 되어도 굳게 얼어붙은 심연에서조차 쉬지 않고 봄을 꿈꾸었던
한없이 물기어린 꽃 뿌리 하나였기 때문에.
….Why did this verse of Sigyeong burst upon me while I was appreciating Hong JiYun’s series ‘Life is Beautiful’? She wrote about her purpose of painting like this: “I write poems, and draw and record them. A moonstruck life. Life is beautiful.” In other words, she intends to express on a single screen all her conceptions and feelings bobbing up and down in her inside through writing poems and drawing pictures. The technique of putting letters onto a picture was started by Picasso and Braque in the west about the 1910’s whereas it has been a long practice in the east. For example, ‘Siseohwa (詩書畵)’, the idea of writing the title of a painting in the margin has been typical…..
Hong JiYun objects to the conventions of painting with just images by trying to relate or mix poems and pictures in the series ‘Life is Beautiful’. She talks about love through a form of letting us feel we look at a picture while reading a poem and also letting us associate a picture with a poem…….

… 홍지윤의 ‘ 인생은 아름다워 ‘ 연작을 보면서 문득 시경의 이 구절이 떠올랐던 것은 웬일일까 . 그녀는 자신이 그림을 그리는 의도를 “ 시를 지어 그림으로 그리고 기록으로 남긴다 . 꿈결 같은 인생 , 인생은 아름답다 ” 라고 썼다 . 말하 자면 시도 짓고 그림도 그리는 방법을 통해 내면에 일렁이는 온갖 상념과 감정을 하나의 화면에 풀어내자는 것 . 그림에 문자를 집어넣는 수법은 서양의 경우 1910 년을 전후하여 피카소와 브라크에 의해 이루어졌지만 , 동양에서는 예 로부터 내려오는 오랜 관행이었다 . 이른바 그림의 여백에 화제 ( 畵題 ) 를 써넣는 ‘ 시서화 ( 詩書畵 )’ 일체의 사상이 그것이다 . …….. 홍지윤은 ‘ 인생은 아름다워 ‘ 연작을 통해 시와 그림의 통교 ( 通交 ) 내지는 혼합을 시도함으로써 이미지뿐인 회화의 관례에 저항한다 . 그녀는 시를 읽으며 그림을 보는 듯 하게 만들고 , 그림을 보면서 시를 연상케 하는 형식을 통해 사랑을 이야기한다 .………
